This course will empower you to master the essentials of serving in a restaurant setting and delivering the superior service experience to your guests. In this course you will learn strategies to manage the demands of both the front of the house and behind the scenes. Upon completion, students will earn the Certified Restaurant Server credential.
To receive the Hospitality Readiness Certificate, students must complete four class offerings and a practicum. The classes are Quality Customer Service, Serve Essentials, Food Safety & Sanitation, and Functions of the Kitchen. Partnerships in the program for the practicum are the Blarney Stone Pub and the Island House Restaurant. Students may also take each class individually without earning the Readiness Certificate.
